@WindowMaker Thank you so so much! I honestly thought no one would care or notice that it came back :) It means so much to me!
I had a hard time keeping up with posting due to my health. It turns out I've had a chronic brain infection (well it's actually in all my organs but the worst is that the encephalitis caused lasting brain damage). I didn't think I could qualify for disability so young, but thankfully I was approved, which allowed me to leave my job.
Off work I'm much more stable. I'm still searching for effective treatment (it took 7 years and some cutting-edge technology at UC San Francisco to even pinpoint what virus it was).
I still drew pages off an on over the hiatus but didn't post because I couldn't deliver on a consistent basis, and I wasn't sure if anyone was still interested (I'm also guilty of being a lurker and not commenting, but as the artist I really wish people would comment. I'm trying to be more proactive about commenting on works I like).
The other thing that changed is I have an ipadpro (so from page 130 onwards the quality will improve), which allows me to work 4 times faster than just with pen and paper. I am drawing 2 pages a week, so I can definitely deliver 1 page a week even on weeks when I have a lot of doctor appointments.
I really love drawing the comic and my goal is to complete it.
Thank you so much for reading (and yeah, I'm sure everyone will need to re-read now because it's been so long no one remembers what's happening haha)
Thank you so much!! Your comment has made my week! It's one of the nicest compliments I've ever received.
I feel so honored that Ni Neko was the first webcomic you read :) <3
Drawing comics and posting them online can be a bit lonely since most people don't leave comments. I can see how many people looked at a certain page, but it's hard to tell if they just glanced at the page and then clicked off, or if they actually read it and liked it. Sometimes I wondered if people were interested in it.
Thank you so so much for your support :) I'm drawing on a consistent schedule and will keep working on Ni Neko until it's done.
And thank you for the well wishes. I have a great doctor now so I'm doing better :D
